Chief Executive Officer, Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center  

Jorge Orozco has led Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center (Rancho) as the Chief Executive Officer since 2007. Mr. Orozco began his career as a Physical Therapist at Rancho in 1989 and has over 19 years of healthcare leadership experience. Mr. Orozco continues to practice at Rancho as a Board Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy.

Professionally, Mr. Orozco has committed his career to driving innovative approaches to care and improving access to quality health care. He is on the Board of Directors for America’s Essential Hospitals. He was the inaugural Chair of Corporate Diversity for Health Care Executives of Southern California and a former Board member of the National Forum for Latino Health Care Executives. He has been involved in various initiatives, including chairing the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Coverage Initiative proposal that was awarded a CMS contract for $162 million to implement Healthy Way LA; established the pro-bono USC Physical Therapy Community Clinic; and is a clinical faculty member at USC Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy. In 2013 the Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Rancho with its Healthcare Leadership Award, and Rancho continues to be ranked as the best rehabilitation hospital in California by the U.S. News and World Report.

Mr. Orozco earned his Masters of Science degree in Health Care Management from California State University, Los Angeles; a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of California at San Francisco; and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He is a Fellow of the California Health Leadership College.
